Performance videos wanted for Chengdu International Sister Cities Youth Music Festival 2021

Hamilton youth performers, here’s an opportunity to have your performance work screened on stage to a live and global audience at the Chengdu International Sister Cities Youth Music Festival 2021.

The non-profit festival aims to “foster cultural exchange and showcase different cultural characteristics from around the world, in a post pandemic way” with music performances happening live from performers in Chengdu, and via performance video submissions from it’s sister cities worldwide.

If you’re 16+, live in Kirikiriroa Hamilton, and have something awesome you’d like to share with the world:
Get your phones and cameras out and rally your team
Set your format to 16:9 HD
Film a 3-10 minute singing, dancing, or instrumental music performance that follows the kaupapa of celebrating cultural exchange.

Whether it’s a solo or group performance, make sure you introduce yourselves, and say Kia ora to Chengdu’s audience in a unique and creative way that lets your culture shine.

Creative Waikato are acting on behalf of Hamilton City Council to bring together the submissions from Kirikiriroa Hamilton, and forward to Chengdu, China as part of the sister cities relationship.

The selected videos will be edited into a compilation video that will screen on stage as part of the Online Overseas Concert during the festival, from 22-28th October 2021.

Get all your bits and bobs ready before you submit and follow this video checklist to make sure:
